Kristiaan Rehder

Portfolio Manager

Kristiaan is a CFA® charterholder with 25 years of experience in the broader financial services industry. He has worked in Merrill Lynch’s mergers and acquisitions team, serving the Melbourne, London and Singapore offices, as well as in KPMG Corporate Finance, where he advised on divestments and acquisitions for medium to large-sized private corporations. For the past 17 years, Kristiaan has managed absolute return strategies, working alongside Mark Burgess and Stuart Larke. He is a founder of Kardinia Capital and, along with the rest of the Kardinia team, is a 100% owner of the business.

Kristiaan holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne.

Stuart Larke

Portfolio Manager

Stuart is a CFA® charterholder with more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry in Australia. Previously, Stuart was Senior Portfolio Manager/Portfolio Manager, Australian Equities at Telstra Super for five years, where he was responsible for stock selection and portfolio construction for the Active Australian Equities Fund, Buy/Write Fund and Diversified Income Fund. Prior to this, Stuart was an analyst and portfolio manager at Myer Family Company. Before moving to the buy side, Stuart was a Director in Emerging Companies research at Goldman Sachs/JBWere and worked in the privatisations area of KPMG Corporate Finance. He is the co-portfolio manager of the strategy and, along with the rest of the Kardinia team, is a 100% owner of the business.

Stuart holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Melbourne.

Mark Burgess

Investment Specialist and Head of ESG

Mark is a CFA® charterholder with more than 35 years of experience in the financial services industry in Australia, London and New York. Mark was the Portfolio Manager of the long/short strategy since its inception in 2006 until 2020 when he became investment specialist responsible for marketing the Fund and Head of ESG. Prior to that he founded Angle Investment Management, a specialist absolute return manager. The first 15 years of his career were spent as a stockbroker with ANZ McCaughan, Ord Minnett and JPMorgan. Along with the rest of the Kardinia team, he is a 100% owner of the business.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Economics from Monash University.

Cameron Dickman

Distribution Partner (Hamel Strategic Partners)

Cameron has over 20 years of experience in the investment management industry. Cameron has specialized in active investments for the majority of his career having led investment sales at Colonial First State, Australian Unity and most recently leading AMG across its affiliated investment boutiques in the wholesale markets. With a passion for bringing great solutions to the Australian market, Cameron has also led product development, marketing and service teams to successfully engage and support client needs.

Cameron has a Bachelor of Economics from La Trobe University.
